Kai Kanani Sailing & Snorkeling

Saiing in Makena

This camera is on top of the Wailea Gateway Place shopping center courtesy of Kai Kanani Charters. Kai Kanani has a great shop in the main building at Wailea Gateway Place , which offers stunning views of Wailea, Makena and Kihei (see for yourself above!)

Kai Kanani offers sailing, snorkeling and sunset cruises from in front of the Makena Beach & Golf Resort. Their location is second to none (literally, no other boats have moorings at this prime location.) Enjoy the most direct journey to Molokini Crater for snorkeling with Kai Kanani.

Maui Sunset Dinner Cruises

The Kai Kanani is a stable sailing catamaran that offers smooth sunset cocktail cruises in South Maui. Enjoy warm breezes and cold drinks while watching one of Maui's spectacular Maui sunsets. Here are some of the reasons that separate the Kai Kanani from other sunset cruises.

  • Beach entry from the Makena Beach & Golf Resort (formerly the Maui Prince.)
  • One of the newest commercial vessels in Maui waters.
  • Open bar with all kinds of delicious tropical drinks, plus wine and beer.
  • Friendly Crew members.
  • NOT OVERCROWDED! This is probably the most important difference.

Kai Kanani Testimonials

Not only were the drinks, food, crew, and views great on our cocktail cruise on the Kai Kanani, we also managed to see multiple breaches by a Humpback Whale!

One of the best ways to measure the success of a business is by hearing what it's customers have to say. Thanks to the superb service the people at Kai Kanani offer, there's plenty of proof that you'll have an unforgettable trip. Visitors make a point to enjoy a snorkel, sailing, or whale watch cruise with the Kai Kanani every time they come back to Maui. You can read many testimonials here: Kai Kanani Testimonials.

Wailea Gateway Center

Kai Kanani

Kai Kanani has a full snorkel shop that offers rentals as well as activities at wholesale prices. We can't say enough about the people with Kai Kanani. We've been out on their boat over a dozen times for all kinds of great activities. We hear they're now also offering snuba for those that want to try scuba diving without the hassle of certification.

Pita Paradise

We LOVE Pita Paradise. They have another location in Kihei, but this one offers table service and a full bar. The food is excellent, the staff incredibly fun and friendly, and the location convenient. We highly suggest stopping by for some of the best grinds on the island.

Monkey Pod

Merriman's has recently opened their latest restaurant Monkey Pod Kitchen. They offer upscale dining with views of the ocean. Merrimans is well known for putting out excellent dishes with great service.

Wailea Gateway Center is a new center situated on the border of Wailea and Kihei just off of the Piilani Highway. Wailea is well known as a playground for well-off visitors of Maui. The area is peppered with large, upscale resorts including the Grand Wailea, The Four Seasons Wailea, and the Fairmont Kealani. You'll often see celebrities relaxing on the beach in Wailea.

Kihei is a more casual town with primarily local residents. Though Wailea is considered Kihei's rich, sexy sister, Kihei Town is slowly drawing more attention from high-end retailers and multi-million dollar renovations. Kihei is more desirable in many respects due to the price drop in accommodations, though as properties improve (and visitors become more savvy), Kihei is slowly drawing more of a crowd. Both towns have incredible beaches and sunset views.
